Team Practices:

Dryland Training: Runs each Sunday from 10am-noon, beginning mid-October until end of November

Optional evening sessions are also available as per coach availability.

Location: Cold Lake High School, Energy Centre (subject to revision)

Dryland consists of strength, endurance, and coordination training.  This takes place through a variety of different activities such as circuit training, relay racing, and aerobics.  Other activities include playing games such as dodge ball, floor hockey, soccer, and more…

Dryland Training helps to develop a sense of team spirit and provides the racers with opportunity to meet before the snow falls.  Parents can also utilize this time to become familiar with the club, ask specific questions, become educated on certain topics such as equipment maintenance, as well as obtain the Level 1 Officials Course, recommended for all volunteers.

Race Training:

Location: Kinosoo Ridge Snow Resort,

Wednesday evening: 5:00 - 8:00 PM (commencing in January)

Sunday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (commencing in December)

Sunday's focus on the younger children (ages 5-8) in the mornings from 10:00-12:00, and the older children (9 and older) from 12:30-2:00 (subject to revision). All racers are welcome to attend the entire practice.  Please plan to be at the hill for 9:30, allowing plenty of time for our racers to gear up and use the washroom prior to training. Racers are to meet outside in front of the ski racks, and await instruction from their coach at 10:00 AM sharp.
Evening practice will also be held from 5-8pm Wednesday evenings.

*Please note: There should be an adult responsible for each racer at the hill at all times.
